Some More August.

This Water Lily lives in our "woman-made" pond in front of our house. This was the first year it bloomed.

We went with Jerry by one of his jobs for a meeting and on the way home stopped at a fabulous plant nursery... they had quite a few of little houses scattered through out the gardens. This one was leading into the petting zoo! At a nursery!? who knew?!

These next few were more frm our photoshoot that we did one day! Some more of my favorites!

This kid is so silly! He is so playful and likes to joke around! One minute he is striking a pose and the next...
he is turning his back to the camera!

I am really not sure what this is about, but he has figured out how to look like he is rolling his eyes!

Lucy... all grown up. She is such a sweet cat. Anthony is always following her around and trying to pet on her... she actually allows it... She had to join the photoshoot.

Here goes silliness again!
and seriously cuteness...

Have i mentioned how hard it is to get both boys to look in the same direction and smile nice for me... almost IMPOSSIBLE!!!

i gave Anthony a bath one day and as i was finishing up Alex... Anthony conked out on our bed... so cute.

do you think he is following in his mommy and daddy's footsteps? heeheehee... this old computer doesn't work... so we let him pound away on the keyboard... he plays office so serious! This day he was distracted by a veggietale or something!

Anthony likes to sit in the massage chair when they watch a video.
and sleep there too... apparently.

We went to pick peaches... we brought home maybe 3 bushels.
Anthony kept getting in trouble for throwing them into the box and had to do several time-outs.
Once he threw a fit so hard that he was all sweaty and gross when he finally quit... when he decides to fit throw in public... if it will work... we make him sit down the put his head down between his knees. It's definitely harder to scream for very long that way.

Our finished peach butter. It is our favorite "butter!" We use it to sweeten our oatmeal and of course on toast...

July Photos

Anthony's new position... He doesn't even know he crosses his fingers... but he will eat like this... pick up food with crossed fingers and his thumb! So funny...

"Helping" daddy lay block.

The blocks weigh more than he does! heehee but he sure tried! You should hear the faker grunting and growning, when he "tries" to pick these up... it is hilarious... it is so dramatic!

Alex was trying to "ear" up blocks for daddy.

Anthony rarely sleeps under his blankets!

He took a nap on our bed one day... i guess he got tired of watching a video...

The boys like to play on the lawn mower... we hardly used it all July... we had no rain for the whole month! see the brown grass?

We took a mini vacation for the weekend to Manistee with our friends the Hubbles. They have a little cabin and a boat up there so we took the motor-home up and had a most wonderful time with them! This was on the ride up...

Too tired to read anymore books...

Anthony on the boat! Smiling, of course...
Goofing around in the motohome...

Anthony has been using the potty since we came home from Kaz for number two... but has never used the m-h potty... he just looks so cute!!!

Packing up the quads at the end of the trip! We went riding in Baldwin National Forest...Well... some of us did... the kids can't ride... you know, so they got little rides around the parking lot on Alex's battery quad.

Sunday afternoon we went mini-golfing... it was Anthony's first time... He was a maniac... you had to stay away from him.

Alex was one too, come to think of it... But they had a blast "playing" like us adults!

At the end we decided to get ice cream... naturally Alex picked the blue stuff... ugh!!! He loved it... he'd never had it before.

Only July 29 we celebrated Anthony's one year Adoption day! We really didn't do anything too grand, just played a lot and mommy tried a photo shoot...

Playing before bed... Alex likes to sleep just in a shirt (and undies) lately... thus... no pants.

Just cuteness.

The gardens in July... the weather was cool and dry all of July... so while we can remedy the dryness... we couldn't really make it warmer... so things just grew slowly. Which was a bummer.
But we have potatoes!
and beets...
and baby birds! down in the potatoes! i discovered them one day when i was watering... i heard all this peeping... i was dousing them with the hose! poor little guys! they were so tiny! and were gone in a couple weeks! They grow up so fast!
When i put my finger near them their little mouths popped open and all kinds of racket same out!
more beets...
This beet is a special beet! It is a seed i brought home from Kaz. I have to say that the germination rate of the Kaz seeds was terrible! i don't know how they can even get a decent garden!

We had problems with the raccoons for a while!!! Pesky things!!! They would completely dig up the carrot section literally every night!!!! i was so mad! I was ready to kill them... and then they just stopped. but they had already destroyed my 13 little rows of carrots. They also dug up the peppers a couple of times... but i put the cold frame over them to protect them, but it definitely seems to have stunted their growth! So annoying.
